How is the surgery performed?
The procedure consists of two stages:
Fat Harvesting:
Fat tissue is taken from areas such as the abdomen, waist, or thighs using a small cannula.
Preparation and Injection:
The harvested fat is purified through a special filtering or centrifugation process, then injected into the required facial areas using fine cannulas.
The entire procedure is performed with a highly controlled technique focused on natural results and maximal tissue preservation.
How long does the surgery take?
Facial fat grafting is typically completed within 45 minutes to 1.5 hours.
The duration may vary depending on the number of areas from which fat will be harvested and the amount of injection required for the face.
Is the surgery painful?
No pain is felt during the procedure, as it is performed under sedation or local anesthesia. Mild tenderness may occur afterward, but most patients manage this period comfortably with simple pain relievers.
How long do the results last?
A portion of the injected fat is naturally absorbed by the body during the first few months.
However, the remaining fat persists for many years.
When the fat cells are properly placed and integrated, the results provide a long-lasting and natural appearance.
Will I have visible scars?
Since the entry points used for fat harvesting and injection are very small, no noticeable visible scars remain.

How long should I stay in Istanbul for recovery?
It is generally recommended to stay in Istanbul for 5–7 days after the procedure.
This period is sufficient for the first follow-up appointment and the initial management of swelling and bruising.
Is it safe to travel by plane after the procedure?
Air travel is generally safe 3–5 days after fat grafting, once swelling and pressure-related discomfort have decreased.
However, the final decision should always be based on your surgeon’s evaluation.
What will my post-operative care be like when I return home?
In the early post-operative period, all follow-ups are performed directly by our surgeon, and patients are allowed to return to their home country once they no longer require dressings. In the following weeks, additional check-ups are conducted via video calls. Before leaving Istanbul, patients receive detailed instructions, and all necessary care videos are shared with them.
Will language be a barrier?
