How is the surgery performed?
The surgery is usually performed under general anesthesia or sedation.
A small incision is made either inside the ear or within the hairline. Through this incision, a special pocket is created for the placement of the implant. The temple implant is carefully positioned and secured in a way that harmonizes with the patient’s facial structure.
The incision is then closed with aesthetic sutures.
As a result, no visible external scar remains, and the procedure provides a natural-looking outcome.
How long does the surgery take?
The procedure is typically completed within 30–60 minutes.
If performed bilaterally, the duration may be slightly longer.
Is the surgery painful?
Mild pain, tightness, or discomfort after the procedure is normal; however, these symptoms are usually easily managed with pain medication. Most patients complete the recovery process without experiencing significant pain.
How long do the results last?
The material used in temple implants is permanent and typically designed for lifelong use. Removal or replacement is performed only if the patient requests it or if the surgeon determines it is necessary.
Will I have visible scars?
Since the incisions are made within the hairline or inside the ear, no visible external scar is left. Once healing is complete, the scars become so minimal that they are virtually unnoticeable.

How long should I stay in Istanbul for recovery?
It is generally recommended to stay in Istanbul for 4–7 days after the surgery. During this period, follow-up appointments are completed and the initial healing process is monitored.
Is it safe to travel by plane after the procedure?
Long flights are not recommended within the first 3–5 days. Swelling and pressure changes may affect your comfort during this early period.
However, as long as your doctor approves, it is generally safe to travel by plane shortly after the procedure.
What will my post-operative care be like when I return home?
In the early post-operative period, all follow-ups are performed directly by our surgeon, and patients are allowed to return to their home country once they no longer require dressings. In the following weeks, additional check-ups are conducted via video calls. Before leaving Istanbul, patients receive detailed instructions, and all necessary care videos are shared with them.
Will language be a barrier?
