Jaw Implants
A jawline implant is a specialized implant placed along the jawbone to define the jawline, balance facial proportions, and create a sharper profile. By reshaping the lower third of the face, it provides aesthetic harmony and creates a stronger, more sculpted jawline appearance.
Who is it suitable for?
Individuals with an undefined or weak jawline
Those with disharmony between the chin tip and jaw angles
Individuals experiencing volume deficiency in the lower face
Those seeking a stronger, more enhanced profile appearance
Individuals with congenital or post-traumatic jawline asymmetry
Those who want long-lasting and permanent jawline contouring

Most Frequently Asked Questions
How is the surgery performed?
The procedure is usually performed through a small incision made inside the mouth or under the chin.
The appropriate implant size is selected and secured onto the jawbone.
Facial nerves and surrounding anatomical structures are carefully protected during implant placement.
The incisions are closed with aesthetic sutures.
When the incision is made inside the mouth, no visible external scar is left.
How long does the surgery take?
It typically takes between 45 minutes and 1 hour. If it is combined with additional procedures (such as a chin implant, liposuction, or neck lift), the duration may be longer.
Is the surgery painful?
Mild to moderate discomfort may occur after the procedure, but it is well managed with the prescribed pain medications.
Most patients experience only mild tenderness during the first few days and do not report significant pain.
How long do the results last?
Jawline implants are long-lasting, permanent, and highly durable. In most patients, the results are maintained for a lifetime. If removal or replacement is ever needed, it can be performed surgically.
Will I have visible scars?
Incisions made inside the mouth leave no visible external scars.
If the incision is made under the chin, a very thin scar may remain, which fades significantly over time.
Scar visibility depends on individual healing speed, but it is generally barely noticeable.
What are the risks?
Infection
Swelling and bruising
Implant shifting or asymmetry
Temporary numbness (due to proximity to nerve pathways)
Rarely, the need for implant removal
These risks are significantly minimized when the procedure is performed by an experienced surgeon.

How long should I stay in Istanbul for recovery?
5–7 days
This period is sufficient for completing follow-up appointments, monitoring the initial phase of swelling, and planning a safe return.
Is it safe to travel by plane after the procedure?
It is generally safe to travel by plane 3–5 days after the procedure.
However, you should obtain approval from your surgeon after the first follow-up appointment.
Pressure changes do not typically cause problems for a jawline implant; what matters is that the surgical area is stable during the early recovery period.
What will my post-operative care be like when I return home?
In the early post-operative period, all follow-ups are performed directly by our surgeon, and patients are allowed to return to their home country once they no longer require dressings. In the following weeks, additional check-ups are conducted via video calls. Before leaving Istanbul, patients receive detailed instructions, and all necessary care videos are shared with them.
Will language be a barrier?
No. Our clinic provides English-speaking coordinators and interpreter services for international patients, ensuring smooth communication at every stage.
