How is the surgery performed?

First, the area is numbed using local anesthesia with sedation or general anesthesia.
An implant of the appropriate size and shape is selected and placed over the cheekbone.

The intraoral incision is closed with aesthetic sutures, leaving no visible external scar.
How long does the surgery take?
It typically takes 45–60 minutes. Other facial aesthetic procedures can be performed during the same session.
Is the surgery painful?
Mild pain and a feeling of tightness may occur after the surgery, but with the prescribed pain medications, the recovery process is generally very comfortable.
How long do the results last?
Silicone or Medpor implants provide a permanent solution. Most patients maintain the same result for many years. They can be removed or replaced if necessary.
Will I have visible scars?
No. Since the incision is made inside the mouth, no visible scar appears on the face.

Staying in Istanbul for 5–7 days is usually sufficient. During this period, your follow-up appointment is completed and the early healing process is monitored.

It is important to plan your trip according to your surgeon’s recommendations to avoid increased swelling and reduce the risk of infection.
What will my post-operative care be like when I return home?
In the early post-operative period, all follow-ups are performed directly by our surgeon, and patients are allowed to return to their home country once they no longer require dressings. In the following weeks, additional check-ups are conducted via video calls. Before leaving Istanbul, patients receive detailed instructions, and all necessary care videos are shared with them.
